Arranging a Community Workshop in Your Area

With enough advance notice, you can arrange a free community workshop in your town if I’m speaking nearby. Check my speaking schedule, and contact me if you are interested. I will be happy to provide a 45-minute to one-hour presentation, followed by Q and A, and I can sign and give away several free copies of my book to attendees.

You will need to provide a location, a PowerPoint set-up (projector, screen and all connecting cords), plus an audience! These could be autism families from the area, teachers, families, autism support groups, therapists and physicians. The audience can be large or small, but larger ones will require a mic.

I can share a poster that was developed for us to advertise the workshop on social media, and will try to get local radio, TV or newspaper exposure if given 4-6 weeks’ notice.

You can even grab one of the free, customizable press releases to share with your local newspaper! Hope to see you soon!

Is your child or student on Miralax, sleep medication and an antipsychotic for “behavior”?

Dr. Janet Lintala – a dynamic speaker bringing awareness of the health challenges of the Autism Spectrum that may impair cognition and language, and cause irritability, constipation and disrupted sleep patterns.

Many parents, teachers, physicians and therapists are completely unaware that some medications are only aimed at symptoms, and are not actually addressing the real source of the problems.

Dr. Lintala shares how a few simple interventions may provide relief from tummy pain, night awakenings, constipation, irritability and aggression. In turn, this helps a child be more alert and connected, getting more out of school and therapies. Some children may go from saying no or few words to full sentences. Many begin to sleep through the night, and most will be calmer, healthier and happier. The changes may be subtle or even profound – and what autism parent couldn’t use a good night’s sleep?

Dr. Lintala explores the medical challenges of life on the autism spectrum, the latest in science and clinical research, and what you can do now to help your child. There is no cure for autism, but a happier, healthier, more connected child is precious beyond words!
